Idaho Public Safety UAS Council (IPSUASC)

September 2018

 

1. The Idaho Public Safety UAS Council (IPSUASC) is an organization of public  safety entities created to;

   a. Encourage and promote the implementation and use of unmanned aircraft  systems within the public safety community;

b. Develop and make recommendations regarding public safety unmanned aircraft system issues and policies that promote greater cooperation between local, state, tribal, and federal public safety agencies;

c. Serve as a forum for the exchange of ideas, information and best practices regarding public safety unmanned aircraft systems;

d. Conduct an outreach component to foster bi-directional information exchange with high-level officials and end users regarding public safety unmanned aircraft systems;

e. Develop system capabilities to assist in the exchange of information between local, tribal, state, and federal entities regarding unmanned aircraft systems;

f. Identify, support and conduct studies and research on public safety unmanned aircraft systems, nefarious uses and UAS counter measures;

g. Support and promote collaboration across public safety disciplines through national and international leadership;

h. Monitor new technologies and/or projects and develop public safety requirements when necessary;

i. Make recommendations to key industries related to public safety stakeholder UAS needs and requirements;

ii. Engage in matters of concern to the national, state or local public safety  unmanned aircraft system community; and,

iii. Perform such other functions, as the IPSUASC Governing Board deems appropriate, consistent with relevant law.
